Global VAT

The "Global VAT" tab is a centralized hub for managing VAT rates across all Amazon marketplaces connected to the SELLERLOGIC platform. The VAT values configured here serve as the initial settings for both Repricer and Business Analytics.

To access the "Global VAT" tab, navigate to: Global action bar > Settings menu > Settings > Global VAT

The tab is organized into sub-tabs:

  • Global VAT — sets default VAT rates applied across all connected Amazon seller accounts.
  • One sub-tab per Amazon seller account — allows you to configure VAT rates for each account individually, overriding the global settings where needed.

1. Global VAT sub-tab

The "Global VAT" sub-tab displays VAT rates for all supported Amazon marketplaces, organized by geographic region. By default, all values are synchronized with the official VAT rates provided by SELLERLOGIC.

Info: VAT values within the "Global VAT" sub-tab serve as the initial settings for both Repricer and Business Analytics. If they are changed manually, they will no longer be synchronized with SELLERLOGIC VAT settings. Synchronization means that if SELLERLOGIC updates its default values, those changes are automatically reflected in the "Global VAT" sub-tab.

1.1 Synchronization status

Each VAT value displays an icon indicating whether it is synchronized or has been customized:

  • Gear icon: The value is synchronized with SELLERLOGIC's default VAT settings.
  • Wrench icon: The value has been changed manually and is no longer synchronized.

1.2 Change a VAT value

To update a VAT rate for a specific marketplace:

1. Click the VAT value next to the desired marketplace.
2. An inline input field appears. Enter the new value.
3. Click the tick icon or press Enter to save.

The value is saved automatically. The icon next to the updated value switches from a gear to a wrench, indicating the value is no longer synchronized with SELLERLOGIC defaults.

1.3 Reset global VAT values

To revert all global VAT rates to the SELLERLOGIC defaults, click “Reset VAT values” and confirm the action. This re-enables synchronization for all global VAT values.

Note: Resetting global VAT values does not affect VAT values that have been manually configured for individual Amazon seller accounts.

2. Account-level VAT settings

A separate sub-tab is displayed for each Amazon seller account connected to the SELLERLOGIC platform. These sub-tabs allow you to configure VAT rates for a specific account, overriding the global settings for that account only.

Info: VAT values within an account sub-tab serve as the initial settings for both Repricer and Business Analytics. If they are changed manually, they will no longer be synchronized with the "Global VAT" settings. Synchronization means that if global VAT values are changed, those changes are automatically reflected in the account sub-tab.

2.1 Synchronization status

Each VAT value displays an icon indicating whether it is synchronized or has been customized:

  • Gear icon: The value is synchronized with the global VAT settings.
  • Wrench icon: The value has been changed manually and is no longer synchronized.

2.2 Change a VAT value

To update a VAT rate for a specific marketplace within an account:

1. Navigate to the sub-tab of the desired Amazon seller account.
2. Click the VAT value next to the marketplace you want to update.
3. Enter the new value in the inline input field that appears.
4. Click the tick icon or press Enter to save.

2.3 Reset account VAT values

To revert all VAT values for a specific Amazon seller account back to the global VAT settings, navigate to the corresponding account sub-tab, click “Reset VAT values”, and confirm the action. This re-enables synchronization with the "Global VAT" sub-tab for that account.

Note: Resetting account VAT values does not affect the global VAT values or VAT settings for other Amazon seller accounts.

3. How VAT values are applied

When determining the VAT rate for a marketplace, SELLERLOGIC applies the following priority order:

1. Account-level VAT — if a VAT value has been manually set for a specific Amazon seller account and marketplace, that value is used.
2. Global VAT — if the account VAT is synchronized (not manually changed), the global VAT value for that marketplace is applied.
3. SELLERLOGIC default — if the global VAT is also synchronized, the SELLERLOGIC default VAT rate for that marketplace is applied.

4. SELLERLOGIC default VAT values by marketplace
