The “Product tags” page provides a centralized interface for managing product tags within Business Analytics. It enables you to create, update, or delete product tags, ensuring a structured and customizable product categorization system tailored to your needs.

Product tags are integrated with the “Profit dashboard” filtering and segmentation features, offering a dedicated “Tags” filter. This filter allows you to refine product data based on specific product tags. Additionally, filtered results can be saved as data segments, providing quick access to predefined datasets.

To open the "Product tags" page, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Business Analytics > Products > Product costs.
2. Locate the “Tags” column within the table and click on a value in the field.
3. Press the cog icon to open the “Product tags” page.

Create a new tag

To create a new product tag, follow these steps:

1. Locate the “Title” field under the “Create tag” section on the left side of the page.
2. Enter the name of the new tag. Note: This is a mandatory field and cannot be left blank.
3. Assign a color to the tag by selecting the corresponding color square from available options. Alternatively, use the default color offered by the system. You can add new colors by clicking the plus button or delete the unnecessary ones by clicking the “Delete” button (trash bin icon). Note: The last color cannot be deleted. 
4. Click “+ Create tag”. The new tag will appear in the “Current tags” section on the right side of the page.

Creating a tag is also possible on the “Product costs” page:

• within the “Tags” field in the table; 
• using the “Product bulk edit” form.

Note: Assigning colors to tags is only possible on the “Product tags” page. If a tag has been created on another page, its default color can be updated later on the “Product tags” page.

Manage your tags

The “Product tags” page provides all product tags created by users under the current customer account. These tags are displayed in the “Current tags” section on the right side of the page.

Edit tag

In order to update a certain tag, click the “Edit” button (pencil icon) next to tag's name to open the “Edit tag” modal form.

Use the “Edit tag” modal form to:

• View the number of products assigned to this tag. Clicking the product count opens the “Product costs” page, displaying these products.
• Edit the tag’s name in the “Title” field.
• Change the color assigned to the tag.

After editing the tag, click on the “Save” button to apply changes.

Assign tag

Assigning tags to products is only possible on the “Product costs” page:

• within the “Tags” field in the table; 
• using the “Product bulk edit” form.

Delete tag

To delete an unnecessary product tag, locate the tag in the “Current tags” section on the right side of the page and click the “Delete” button (trash bin icon) next to the tag’s name.
