Negative margin products

The "Negative margin products" widget on the Business Analytics Dashboard highlights the most underperforming products by identifying those where the estimated margin is less than or equal to the associated expenses.

The widget header indicates the time period for the filtered data, which corresponds to your selection in the “Filters” form of the sidebar menu. Hover over the info icon next to the header to see the date and time when the data was last updated.

The widget's data automatically updates to reflect the filters you apply through the dashboard’s sidebar. For more details on how to use the filters, see Business Analytics | Dashboard | Sidebar menu. You can scroll within the widget to view additional products.

Chart overview

The widget visualizes the performance of the 50 most underperforming products using stacked bars. You can scroll within the widget to view all 50 products. To explore data on additional underperforming products, click the expand icon in the widget's top-right corner to open the "Negative margin products" modal. For more information, see Business Analytics | Dashboard | "Negative margin products" modal.

The chart bars break down the data into two parts:

  • Revenue (dark blue bar): Represents the total income that includes product sales and other income-related metrics.
  • Expenses (light blue bar): Shows the total cost that includes all expense-related metrics.

Chart axis

Product rating (left axis): Indicates the product’s rating based on its estimated margin. A lower margin results in a higher rating number, indicating worse performance.

Estimated margin (right axis): Displays the estimated margin for each product, shown in the currency that corresponds to your selection in the “Filters” form of the sidebar menu.
