The “Global VAT settings” page serves as a centralized hub for managing VAT-related configurations. This page provides tools for individual configurations for both VAT on Amazon fees in European marketplaces and product VAT on sales.
To access the “Global VAT settings” page navigate to SELLERLOGIC navigation bar | Gear icon > Global VAT settings.
VAT on Amazon fees in EU
The "VAT on Amazon Fees in EU" tab, located on the "Global VAT Settings" page, provides tools for managing VAT on Amazon fees across European marketplaces where VAT recovery is applicable. This feature helps SELLERLOGIC take into account the VAT recovery applied to Amazon fees from August 2024 onward.
Enable VAT on Amazon fee settings
To enable the configuration of VAT on Amazon fees across European marketplaces, switch the header toggle labeled “Entitled to deduct input tax in the EU for Amazon fees (starting August 2024)" to the ON position.
By enabling this option, you confirm that you are eligible to recover VAT applied to Amazon fees, effective from August 2024.
Warning: After saving changes for VAT on Amazon fees in the EU, all transactions involving Amazon fees displayed across the Business Analytics pages will be recalculated to reflect the configured VAT rate. This adjustment will occur only if there are changes compared to the previously saved settings.
Please note that data recalculation in Business Analytics may take some time after the new settings are applied. If this setting is later reversed, all transactions starting from August 2024 will be recalculated again based on the updated configuration.
Configure VAT on Amazon fees
Once the header toggle is enabled, you can choose to configure the global VAT rate on Amazon fees by providing the details as follows:
- Company’s registration country: Choose the country where your company is legally registered.
- VAT: Input the VAT rate that applies to the company.
Configure VAT for individual Amazon seller accounts
Alternatively, the VAT rate on Amazon fees can be configured individually for each Amazon seller account connected to SELLERLOGIC Platform:
Apply by Amazon seller account: Enable this toggle in case you want to configure the VAT rate to each of your Amazon seller accounts separately.
For each Amazon seller account, provide the following details:
- Amazon seller account: Enable this toggle to provide VAT settings for this account.
- Country of registration: Choose the country of the legal entity registered under this Amazon seller account.
- VAT value: Enter the applicable VAT rate for this account.
To save and apply VAT settings configured on the "VAT on Amazon Fees in EU" tab, click “Save" and confirm the action to finalize the update.
Product VAT on sales
The “Product VAT on sales” tab, located on the "Global VAT settings" page, enables you to view and manage VAT settings both globally for all your Amazon marketplaces and for individual Amazon seller accounts connected to the SELLERLOGIC Platform. These VAT values are applied in Repricer and only during the first product import from Amazon to ensure accurate tax handling for your marketplace transactions.
To access the tab navigate to SELLERLOGIC navigation bar | Gear icon > Global VAT settings > Product VAT on sales.
Global VAT
The “Global VAT“ tab displays VAT values for all your marketplaces. By default, these VAT values are synchronized with SELLERLOGIC based on official VAT rates for various countries.
To modify the VAT value and disable synchronization, click on the value next to the desired marketplace, enter a new value, and confirm the change by selecting the tick icon. "Global VAT" values are used for all Amazon seller accounts by default.
Note: If a VAT value is manually changed in the “Global VAT” tab, it will no longer be synchronized with SELLERLOGIC’s default VAT settings. Synchronization ensures that any changes to the default values provided by SELLERLOGIC are automatically reflected in the “Global VAT” tab.
Synchronization status indicators
Each VAT value on the “Global VAT” tab has an associated icon that indicates its synchronization status:
- Gear icon (synchronization enabled): This indicates that the VAT value is synchronized with SELLERLOGIC’s default settings.
- Wrench icon (synchronization disabled): This indicates that the VAT value has been manually changed, meaning it is no longer synchronized with SELLERLOGIC’s default value.
Reset the global VAT value
To reset the global VAT values, navigate to the “Global VAT” tab, press the “Reset VAT values“ button, and confirm the action. This will revert all current VAT values to their default settings and synchronize them with SELLERLOGIC. This reset action affects only global VAT values and does not reset VAT settings for individual Amazon seller accounts.
Amazon seller account VAT
To manage VAT settings for specific Amazon seller accounts, navigate to the tab of the desired Amazon account and adjust the VAT values for the relevant marketplaces. Adjusted VAT values for the marketplace of the specific Amazon account override the “Global VAT” settings for this particular Amazon seller account only.
Note: If a VAT value for a specific Amazon seller account is manually changed, it will no longer be synchronized with the values set in the “Global VAT” tab. Synchronization ensures that any changes to the “Global VAT” values are automatically reflected in the account tab.
Synchronization status indicators
Each VAT value on the Amazon account tab has an associated icon that indicates its synchronization status:
- Gear icon (synchronization enabled): This indicates that the VAT value is synchronized with “Global VAT” settings.
- Wrench icon (synchronization disabled): This indicates that the VAT value has been manually changed, meaning it is no longer synchronized with “Global VAT” settings.
Reset VAT values for the Amazon seller account
To reset VAT values for a specific Amazon seller account, navigate to the desired account tab, press the “Reset VAT values“ button, and confirm the action. This will revert all current VAT values to those provided in the “Global VAT” tab and synchronize them with SELLERLOGIC’s default settings.
