Transactions

The “Transactions” page provides an overview of the main key performance indicators (KPIs) and a table listing all the transactions reported by Amazon across your accounts with Business Analytics enabled. It also includes information about your expenses provided manually through “Expenses”.

The “Transactions” page can be accessed in two ways:

  • SELLERLOGIC Homepage > Business Analytics | Transactions
  • Business Analytics navigation bar > Transactions

Page settings

The “Transactions” page header offers a range of settings for filtering and configuring the content displayed by the KPI widget and a table: “Group/Account”, “Marketplace”, “Date range”, “Display transaction levels”, “Currency”, and “Edit groups”. Display transaction levels

The “Display transaction levels” filter allows you to view transactions that occur only on the chosen levels. It is designed to filter transactions displayed in the table only and does not impact the values presented within the KPI widget.

You have the flexibility to select multiple levels from the dropdown list, allowing you to focus solely on transactions occurring at the selected levels. For example, if you opt for "Account-related transactions," only transactions occurring at the account level will be visible in the table, excluding marketplace, order, or product-related data.

Below is a table listing all options available within the “Display transaction levels” filter, along with their respective descriptions.

Option Description
Global transactions Filters transactions that occurred only on the global level the manually assigned indirect costs.
Account-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only on the account level.
Marketplace-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only on the marketplace level.
Order-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only on the order level.
Product-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only on the product level.

KPI widget

The key performance indicator (KPI) widget summarizes the main performance metrics for the time period defined by the “Transactions” page settings. Each metric value is compared to the value from the equal preceding period, as specified by the “Transactions” page settings. The ↑ ↓ icons indicate whether the value has increased or decreased compared with the previous period. Hover over the corresponding icon, to see the tooltip displaying a percentage change.

Below is a table listing all the metrics available within the KPI widget, along with their respective descriptions.

Metrics Description
Product sales The amount of income generated by ordered product sales.
Revenue The total income that includes product sales and other income.
Expenses The total amount of expenses.
Estimated profit The amount of estimated profit, calculated as revenue minus total expenses.
Margin The percentage of the net profit in the revenue.
ROI The ratio of net profit over the total expenses.
Orders The number of all orders.
Units The number of ordered units.
Promotion The number of orders with promotions applied.
Refunds The number of refunded units.

Table fields

The “Transactions” table provides a detailed list of all financial events that have occurred on Amazon across your accounts with Business Analytics enabled. Below is a table listing all fields available in the "Transactions" table, along with their respective descriptions.

Order number The unique order number assigned by Amazon, with a direct link to the order page on Amazon SellerCentral. Live search
Amazon account name The name of the Amazon account associated with the product. Dropdown list
SKU The Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is the unique alphanumeric code used by Amazon to identify a product for inventory and sales purposes. On rare occasions, two different marketplaces may have the same SKU. Live search
ASIN The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) is a 10-digit alphanumeric product identification number with a link to the product page on Amazon. One ASIN may cover several SKUs. Live search
Image The image of the product as received from Amazon.
Marketplace The Amazon marketplace where the product is listed. Dropdown list
Title The name or a short description of the product as received from Amazon. Live search
Product ID The unique identifier assigned to each product within Business Analytics for reference purposes. Live search
Condition The condition of the product as received from Amazon. Dropdown list
Fulfillment method

Indicates which fulfillment method is applied to the product:

FBA: Fulfillment by Amazon;

FBM: Fulfillment by merchant.

Transaction amount The value of a transaction as reported by Amazon or determined by the system based on manual cost settings. Live search
Transaction date The date when the transaction occurred. Date picker
Transaction type

The type of transaction which can be one of the following:

Standard: Regular transactions reported by Amazon.

Adjustment: Adjustments made to standard transactions reported by Amazon.

Retrocharge: This includes retrocharges or retrocharge reversals, which are financial events related to previous transactions.

Manual: This includes costs added manually on the “Product costs” and “Indirect costs” pages.

Category The primary category of the transaction, which can be either "Revenue" or "Expenses". Dropdown list

Category and subcategories

You can explore every transaction contributing to your profits or expenses using the corresponding category and subcategory filters.

In the following example, column headers are set to filter an Amazon fee adjustment that boosts your income. The “Revenue” is selected as the primary category and then is narrowed down by the following subcategories: “Additional income” (Subcategory 1) → “FBA outbound fee” (Subcategory 2) → “FBA per unit fulfillment fee adjustment” (Subcategory 3). You can also see a variety of adjustments by selecting the “Adjustment” option in the “Transaction type” column header filter.

Table options

Each column header provides “Ascending” and “Descending” sorting options as well as individual filtering of data upon a click on the column header filters as provided in the table above.

The “Table settings” and “Table content” buttons, located at the lower right of the page, enable you to customize the view and content of the page table. The “Table content” modal form allows you to manage the columns of the table, by changing their respective order or visibility status. The “Export results” button, represented as an up arrow icon at the top right of the page, offers the following export options:

  • Export widget data: Opens the “Export widget data” modal form to download all data provided by the KPI widget to your PC. By clicking the “Export” button, you can export the data in CSV or XLSX file formats.
  • Export transactions: Opens the “Export results” modal form to download all fields with data from the first page of the “Transactions” table. By clicking the “Export” button, you can export up to 100 table rows in CSV, XLS, or XLSX file formats.
